Community-Based Research Services
The Community Engagement Network for Translational Science (CENTS) team serves by building connections between our community and research teams.
Our Services
- Consultations can be requested, including:
- Stakeholder-in-the-Loop training, an iterative approach to AI and machine learning that involves the community in the development of the AI algorithm.
- CENTS-facilitated meetings with Ambassadors and/or CAB members for engagement, recruitment, and collaboration strategies. CENTS will assist you with gathering culturally relevant feedback on your study and study-related materials, by working in partnership with Community Ambassadors and the Community Advisory Boards representing our local communities.
- Recommendations, access, and training for IT tools to support recruitment of study participants. Tools include Stony Brook Research Ripple Registry, BuildClinical and TriNetX.
- Bot Studio, offering development of novel chatbots. Researchers will be trained to modify a template bot for their projects, and CENTS may recommend additional services for Bot success, such as facilitated meetings with Ambassadors and/or CAB members.
